We are establishing the garden to showcase the productivity and environmental benefits of a diversity of both common and exciting edible and beneficial species that can thrive locally.
The garden provides the school with an outdoor classroom during school hours. Outside regular school hours and during summer, the garden integrates with various community food and wellness programming initiatives, as well as being accessible to the public.
This garden is created by the community for our entire community. We are very thankful to have established our garden in Spring 2013 with some funding, community support, and volunteer help. We need as much help as we can to establish a productive garden and a resilient committee structure.
